    The Story.

Crude's San Pedro coffee is a blend of four very small holdings farmed by the local people of Paez Nasa.  Made up of the varietals Cattura, Colombia F8, Castillo & Bourbon with altitudes from 1600 to 2200 m.a.s.l, soil conditions are rich in volcanic minerals.

This area is one of the remotest coffee growing regions of Colombia. Occupied by the Paez/Nasa since the Spanish invasion of 1504. There has never been any form of commercial farming in the region, only small family substance farming. Thus the coffee of this region are known for their rounded and flavourful cup.

There are reputed to be over 1500 family farms in the region varying 0.5 to 5 hectare in size, the whole region is possibly the size of Yorkshire.
